This was Enge's second Formula One race since he joined the Prost team a week ago. Finland's Mika Häkkinen in a McClaren won the race, Micheal Schumacher in a Ferrari came second and the German driver is now certain to take the world title. Enge said he was satisfied with his performance in Indianapolis, although he was in last position for most of the race after a bad start due to technical problems with his car's transmission.

And finally, Czech boxer Lukas Konecny - in his fourth professional match - had no problems seeing off the Hungarian Robert Sathy. Konecny, who holds two amateur world championship Bronze medals - defeated Sathy in a mere two minutes.
