Czech hockey player Patrik Eliaš, who plays for the New Jersey Devils, earned an assist in the opening game of the Stanley Cup finals against the L.A. Kings. Both teams were tied 1:1 going into the extra period, before the Kings’ Kopitar got the winner on a breakaway. Game 2 is in New Jersey.
