New coalition government emerging in South Bohemia

A new coalition government is emerging in the South Bohemian region following the resignation of South Bohemian governor Jiří Zimola and the collapse of the regional government last week. Representatives of the Social Democratic Party, Christian Democrats, the South Bohemian 2012 movement and the For South Bohemia grouping on Tuesday signed a letter-of-intent on future cooperation. The agreement still needs to be sanctioned by the regional council. The former coalition headed by Jiří Zimola from the Social Democratic party fell apart following allegations of corruption in the management of the regional hospital.
