New children’s film by Jan Svěrák set for cinema release

Tři bratři (Three Brothers), a children’s film by Jan Svěrák, received a pre-premiere in Ostrava on Sunday ahead of entering cinema distribution in the middle of this month. The film is a musical fairytale and was written by the director’s father Zdeněk Svěrák and Jaroslav Uhlíř. Jan Svěrák, who directed the Oscar-winning Kolya, took on the project while attempting to raise funding for an English-language movie.
