Large fire breaks out at waste disposal plant in Kutná Hora

Several firefighter units are trying to extinguish a blaze that has broken out at a waste sorting facility in Kutná Hora, just 50 kilometers out of Prague. The fire has already spread to a nearby field.

A third degree fire-alert is in place, a spokesman for the fire service Jaroslav Gabriel told the Czech News Agency. Several firefighters, who are trying to prevent the blaze from spreading to a nearby hall, have collapsed as a result of the intense heat.
