Czech president set to meet candidate to be new education minister

Czech president Miloš Zeman is expected to appoint a new education minister Tuesday. Outgoing minister Kateřina Valachová announced Monday that she was sticking by her decision to resign after a funding scandal in her ministry. The new minister is set to be the current deputy minister Stanislav Štech with whom Zeman is scheduled to meet on Tuesday.
