Czech PM: hate-crime in Britain should serve as warning to EU

The increase in violence against foreign nationals in the wake of the Brexit vote is a warning and an indication of where things might go if EU members fail to keep the alliance together, Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka said in an interview for the ctk news agency on Thursday. He predicted that negotiations on relations between Great Britain and the rest of the EU would be tough. It will be necessary to protect the interests of Czech citizens living in Britain and, at the same time, to prevent Britain from moving too far away from the EU, Sobotka said.
