Czech industrial producer prices grew 0.7 percent month-on-month, slightly higher than market expectations. In year-on-year terms, the producer price index grew by 1.3 percent as compared to 5.9 percent in October 2000. The Czech Statistics Office said the increase was mainly due to the introduction of winter-season prices of electricity for enterprises.
