Poor business ethics in the Czech Republic is a cause of numerous complaints and criticism by both local and foreign companies as well as international institutions. Lately, there have been several initiatives to improve the unsatisfactory situation. One of them was initiated by the Czech Business Leaders Forum and the ALTISA International Network in cooperation with the Czech Senate. The Business Leaders Forum is an association of trade and industry representatives who strive to promote good corporate citizenship and business ethics. ALTISA is a non-governmental organisation focusing on the promotion of ethical principles in the whole society.
