The Scandinavian airline SAS has announced it is cancelling another 280
flights on Thursday due to a drawn out pilot strike which has already
affected 300,000 passengers.
The cancellations include scheduled flights from Prague to Stockholm. A decision on an afternoon flight from Copenhagen to Prague has not yet been announced. Passengers have been advised to keep themselves informed about developments on flysas.com.

The applicants had sought to annul an amendment to the City Development Principles Act, which defines the scope of the planned runway at the international airport in the Prague 6 district of Ruzyně, named after the late Czech president Václav Havel.
The case was filed by the districts of Dolní Chabry, Ďáblice, Lysolaje, Nebušice, Satalice and Suchdol. They argue that the third runway would greatly increase noise in residential areas.

Prague’s Václav Havel airport handled 5.48 million passengers in the
third quarter of 2018, which represents a year-on-year increase of 9.3
percent, the Czech News Agency reported on Thursday.
This July, with nearly 1.88 million passengers cleared, was the busiest month in the history of the airport.
According to the newly released data, the highest number of passengers in the third quarter of this year travelled to London, Moscow, Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
