The District Court in the town of Trebic has reached a verdict in the case of 12 men who attacked a hamlet near the town of Trebic in South Moravia inhabited mostly by Romani families. Delegates from Roma communities all over the world have come together in Prague for the 5th International Roma Congress, which opened in the Czech capital on Tuesday. Top of the agenda will be the plight of the Roma population in Kosovo, which have in recent years been targetted for discrimination by both the ethnic Albanians and the Serb community. Through the month of July, the Roma community in the West Bohemian town of Rokycany has been subject to intimidation and attack.
