Jan Velinger I have lived and worked in Prague since the early 1990s, completing a Masters degree in film directing at FAMU before moving on to radio and television. Work in radio has given me the privilege of meeting many wonderful people over the years, kind enough to share sometimes very dramatic life stories. Projects worked on include a programme looking back on 9/11, the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, and a longer cycle profiling Czechs in Canada.

More recent work includes writing about the Czech arts scene – from the story of a forgotten Czech futurist to the story of a famous Czech mole (sometimes the stories that are the most enjoyable to work on are also the quirkiest!).
