Neumanova, photo CTK In other Olympics news, the Czech cross-country skier Katerina Neumannova has failed to repeat her medal success in the fifteen kilometre free, where she took the bronze. Neumannova collapsed in tears following the end of the combined five kilometre classical and free pursuit on Friday - she had been in third place but was evidently unaware that Beckie Scott of Canada was hot on her heels. Scott passed Neumannova out in the last few metres to take the bronze.

Meanwhile the Czech men's team came seventh in the cross-country relay. And the Czech Republic came ninth in the Nordic Combined men's team event.
