Czech Science "The Last Man on the Moon" to visit Czech Republic

Eugene CernanEugene Cernan The last man to walk on the surface of the Moon, the American astronaut of Czech descent, Eugene Cernan, is going to visit the Czech Republic this month. Mr Cernan who landed on the Moon in 1972 will be signing the Czech translation of his book "The Last Man on the Moon" and he'll also receive an award from the Czech Academy of Sciences. Eugene Cernan last visited the Czech Republic in October 2001 and was lucky to escape uninjured from an army helicopter crash. Incidentally, a court in South Bohemia finally ruled last week that the accident was caused by a technical fault. The pilot was cleared of all charges.
