Russia issues ban on live poultry imports from four Czech regions

In connection with the spread of bird flu in the Czech Republic, Russia has issued a temporary ban on imports of live poultry and eggs for hatching from the country, according to the TASS news agency. The ban concerns the regions of Pardubice, Karlovy Vary, Hradec Kralove and Plzen. The transport of live poultry from these regions across Russian territory is also banned.
