The Czech Republic’s Martin Fuksa has won gold in the 1,000 metres event at the Canoe Sprint World Championships in Portugal’s Montemoru-o-Velho on Saturday. The 24-year old Czech finished more than 11 seconds ahead of Olega Tarnovschi of Moldova.
