The winners of the 2001 poll for the Hit of the Year were announced by Musica Bohemica and Czech Radio at the Prague Congress Center. It was there that everyone was informed of the best-selling Czech albums of the year. The most successful album was the soundtrack from the musical film Rebels, which revived many half-forgotten songs on the radio.
