Business News The Czech Republic and Mexico to tighten economic ties

11-04-2002 | Vladimír Tax

The Czech Prime Minister Milos Zeman and Mexico's president Vicente Fox have promised to strengthen economic ties and exchange technological and business expertise. Mr Zeman was visiting Mexico as part of his North American tour last week.

Both leaders signed agreements designed to secure investments and increase commerce between the two nations. They said their countries could share knowledge on everything from technological advances to how to encourage the growth of small and medium businesses. Mr Zeman described Mexico as a democratic and stable country and therefore attractive for Czech investors.
