Almost 80 percent of locally-based companies are disturbed by a recent debate in the Czech Republic about a referendum on leaving the European Union, suggests a new survey. And over a quarter of firms would consider upping sticks if what has been dubbed Czexit were to actually take place, the study indicates.
The year 2017 was the most successful so far in Mladá Boleslav-based carmaker Škoda Auto’s history, CEO Bernhard Maier has confirmed for news site iDnes. According to the company head, the number of cars produced in 2017 was 6.6 percent higher than a year earlier, for a total of 1,200,500 vehicles manufactured.
Czechs’ financial literacy improved since last year by only the very slightest of margins an annual survey commissioned by the Czech Banking Association has shown. According to the survey, they picked up 56 points out of a possible 100. The news isn’t all bad though: the number of Czechs setting aside savings has at least increased, Czech Radio confirmed.
