Current AffairsCzech Trade Inspectorate finds tanning beds not up to safety norms
The Czech Trade Inspectorate has revealed the results of testing at Czech
solariums which some will find more than a little disquieting. A week after
the World Health Organisation declared the use of tanning beds a
significant cancer hazard, the Czech Trade Inspectorate revealed that
tanning beds in eight out of ten facilities in parts of the Czech Republic

Current AffairsFifty-two Czech holidaymakers die abroad in month and half
The number of Czechs who meet their deaths while on holiday every summer is
on the increase. In fact, more than 50 people have lost their lives abroad

this country, with temperatures of up to 39 degrees Celsius expected. More
Letter from PragueHeat wave bringing people together in the city
It is difficult to stay away from the weather in my Letter from Prague this
week as the unusually long heat wave seems to be dominating everybody's
life right now. It is not fun travelling on public transport, or just
moving from one place to another in the capital. There is over 30 degrees
Celsius in the office and at home it is not much better, not even during
the night. More
