To mark the 250th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's birth, we visit
the Villa Bertramka, where the great Austrian composer stayed in Prague.
The villa now houses a permanent exhibition devoted to Mozart and his
hosts Josefina and Franz Xaver Dusek - two renowned 18th century

ago, and numerous concerts, festivals, exhibitions and celebrations are
due to kick-off around Europe, most notably in Salzburg, Vienna, and

Czech TV, have put together an ambitious project including concerts, live
broadcasts, films and exhibitions that will be held throughout the year.

The Theater of Estates - or Stavovske Divadlo - is the last existing
theater where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart featured his operas. Mozart lived in
Prague for some time, and composed a number of pieces here, such as the
Prague Symphony and the opera Don Giovanni. The city is proud of the
heritage of the great composer and since next year is the 250th
anniversary of Mozart's birth, Prague is already now planning great
celebrations. More
