The first recorded mention of Kladno comes from the middle of the 14th century when it was a village owned by the Kladensky family. Jaromir Jagr, photo: CTK The Czech ice hockey megastar Jaromir Jagr has left Washington for the New York Rangers. However, Jagr's first game for Rangers saw them being thrashed in a game the player described as a "kick in the behind". Jiri Novak bowed out in the third round of tennis's Australian Open, despite having led 2:0 on sets against Pavel of Romania. Katerina Holubcova has come second in a Biathlon World Cup event while Ales Valenta has won the second World Cup event of his career in freestyle aerial skiing.  More
