Current AffairsFrantisek Kupka painting sets Czech auction record
Experts predicted that a new record could be set on Sunday when a work by
the Czech-born abstract artist Frantisek Kupka was going under the hammer
in Prague. They were right: the oil on canvas was sold to an anonymous

Current Affairs"Hitler watercolor" goes up for auction on Czech website
Years before becoming one of the worst mass murderers of all time, Adolf
Hitler struggled to make ends meet as an artist. Paradoxically, while the

period 1914 to 1918 has just opened at Prague's Kampa Museum. More

gewgaws. It is a site that is as rich in art and history as it is bustling
with activity. This place is one of Prague's nerve centers, the beating
heart of the old city.

make that possible - though the Culture Ministry is not in favour. But
could a change of government increase chances of free admission at the
National Gallery?

National Gallery have designed an exhibition featuring Czech caricature
